Breaking Free: Why I Said Goodbye to Instagram and Facebook
For over a year, I gave my all to sharing The Healing Garden Café’s story on Instagram and Facebook. With over 1,000 followers, I thought I was building a space for connection and healing. But the longer I stayed on those platforms, the more it felt like I was shouting into the void. Algorithms and shadow bans turned what should have been an uplifting experience into a frustrating and disheartening struggle.
I found myself constantly checking analytics, questioning why my posts weren’t being seen, and trying every “hack” to align with the algorithm. It consumed me. And for what? The essence of my work—helping people heal and reconnect with themselves—was getting lost in the noise.
TikTok gave me a glimmer of hope. It was refreshing to feel my creativity flow again, and I was inspired to share more. But now, with the app ban, that door has closed too. And honestly, it feels like a reflection of a much bigger issue.
How is it that we’re focused on banning apps while real problems—homelessness, a broken healthcare system, systemic violence—go unresolved? It’s like we’re living in a game of “big bank takes little bank,” where priorities are misplaced, and those of us trying to create change are left scrambling just to stay afloat.
I realized I had to make a change.
The moment I deleted my Instagram and Facebook accounts, I felt something shift. It was like the weight of endless scrolling, the pressure to perform, and the constant comparison lifted off my shoulders. I could finally breathe again.
This clarity brought me back to my roots. My calling isn’t about algorithms or likes—it’s about healing. Through energy work, herbal remedies, coaching, and creating sacred spaces, I’ve seen people transform, find peace, and rediscover their power. That’s what lights me up, and it’s what I want to pour my energy into moving forward.
Now, I’m redirecting my focus to spaces that feel more authentic and aligned. This blog will be a space for deeper reflections, sharing wisdom, and offering tools for healing and self-discovery. You’ll also find me on YouTube, where I’ll be diving into the magic of herbs, energy practices, and mindful living.
But more than anything, I’m reconnecting with the world around me. Whether it’s stepping outside, grounding myself in nature, or holding space for others, I’m choosing to let go of the noise and embrace real, intentional living.
The state of the world often feels overwhelming. It’s frustrating to see how hard we have to fight just to meet our basic needs, let alone thrive. But I believe healing is possible—not just for individuals but for entire communities. It starts with each of us choosing to live with intention, to nurture our spirits, and to hold space for each other’s growth.
Thank you for walking this journey with me. Together, we heal
